MCW was set in Lelystad, a provincial hospital in the middle of the country. MCW dramatized all sorts of ethical and personal dilemmas. MCW was innovative for its time for dealing with euthanasia, critical cancer treatment, abortion, and other contemporary issues.—Hans Galesloot
