Thirty-something Marty was just a regular everyday guy, who consistently chose comfort and denial over challenges and confrontations. Then the day came when his girlfriend cheats on him with his best friend. Unable to deal with the reality of his situation, Marty goes on a week-long alcohol-fueled bender, losing his girlfriend, his job, his shoes and wallet. He also loses his memory of that week, finding himself reacting in a way he's never done before. As someone who's been a doormat all his life -- suppressing his emotions and not telling the truth about how he feels -- Marty's ego is finally able to uncontrollably express itself.—Karl G
