Manaal falls in love with Zain. He is Irfan's cousin, and works for him. Zain tries to stay away as his sister Maryam is married into Irfan's family and also, Zain's takes care of Irfan's lands. So the emotional relationship is one sided because Zain doesn't want to get involved with anyone that has any connection with Irfan. However, Irfan thinks that Zain is reciprocating the same feelings and Manaal is deliberately going against his decision, since he is not approving of this relationship. Manaal is eager to convince Zain. Irfan's dominating behavior irks her, therefore she wants both of them to be strong and go against her brother in law's wishes. Will Zain love her back? Will she be able to stand against Irfan? Is her one sided love strong enough to fulfill her aspirations?
Marzi is a one-sided love story of Manaal who is living an emotionally suppressed and financially compromised life with her mother and brother. This is because Irfan, her sister Afeera's husband, is supporting them. Irfan is rich; hence he dominates both the families.
Marzi revolves around a young girl, Manaal (Rabab Hashim) who belongs to a middle class family and lives with her mother and a younger brother. Due to financial constraints, Manaal's family is dependent on her sister, Afeera (Jana Malik) who is married to Irfan (Babar Ali), an influential businessman. Irfan's dominating and demeaning behaviour makes him the sole patriarch of both the families. Among his many other businesses, Irfan also owns a radio station where Zain (Junaid Khan) a young and aspiring radio jockey and singer is employed. Despite of being Irfan's employee, Zain despises him for his behaviour. Depite of Irfan's useless interference, Zain and his friend are honest to their jobs. Manaal hears Zain's voice over radio falls in love with him. To express her feelings Manaal persuades Zain to meet her in person. Zain remains sceptical about his feelings after he finds out about Manaal's relationship with Irfan. Manaal is disappointed with Zain's response and hopes for Zain to change his mind. After Irfan interferes between Manaal and Zain's meetings, Zain steps back and asks Manaal to end their friendship. Irfan's vicious planning against Zain and Manaal makes him put Zain under fake kindnapping charges. While Manaal suffers from disappointment and depression as she looses her sight after an unfortunate incident. However, Zain accepts his true feelings for Manaal and they both get married. Soon Manaal starts to feel as if she is a burden on Zain by making his life more difficult and challenging. Zain is shattered when his father passes away and Manaal also leaves him.Will Zain ever be able to stand for his love or will he succumb to Irfan's will?
