Cassatt's Parisian solitude is disrupted by the unexpected arrival of her brother's three kids, but she soon finds herself inspired and uses the children as models.

After reluctantly allowing her nephew and two nieces to spend the summer with her in Paris, American born aspiring impressionist Mary Cassatt finds inspiration in her family. Meanwhile, the children conspire with a young gardener to form a relationship between their aunt and the anti-social painter Edgar Degas.—Max Vaughn
