Synopsis

Sea, the last Frontier is a series of epic adventures lived by a team of divers, led by awarded cinematographer Nuno Sá, in Portuguese waters trying to unravel the secrets that our immense sea hides. Taking the public directly "underwater" with the production team to live the adventures of swimming with the largest animal on the planet, getting on a submarine at 1000m deep, diving with sharks or in shipwrecks. We want to take the public on board with us on this voyage of exploration towards the unknown Sea of Portugal, its last frontier.

From the islands of the Azores to the archipelago of Madeira, including the Desertas and Selvagens islands, passing through the Berlengas islands and North to South of mainland Portugal, we will unveil an incredible marine life that includes the rarest seal in the world, the world's largest population of seahorses, sunken submarines and shipwrecks, fast sharks, shoals of majestic mantas, the world's largest fish and much more.

Using technology unknown to the general public, in every episode the production team will make the viewer feel part of the team by using full face masks equipped with radio transmitters and making an on-the-spot narration transmitting in first hand the sensations, difficulties and adventures experienced by the team. Using underwater cameras capable of capturing ultra violet light we will show the unknown habits of bio luminescent beings, using underwater scooters we will explore caves and remote shipwrecks and equipped with re-breathers we will take the public deeper, in search of the unknown.
