A young Filipino couple move to Canada to try to make a life for themselves, but struggle with loneliness and have trouble making ends meet.

Maple Leaf Dreams is the story of Macky and Molly, a young, poor couple who work as a restaurant manager and an office secretary. Although they have decent jobs in the Philippines, they soon realize that their current routine won't give them a promising future in their home country. So, Molly applies for a student program in Canada. The plan is for her to study while Macky works to provide for the both of them.
