An embittered music composer, estranged from his family, self-destructs after learning his sweetheart has married another male.
Simla-based foreign-returned Rajkumar Mehta lives a wealthy lifestyle along with his father, mother, and sister, Shobha. His father would like him to join the family business, but he is only interested in music, and spending time with his childhood sweetheart, Jalandhar-based Pushpa. Fed-up of taunts, Rajkumar is compelled to leave for Bombay when his enraged father decides to dispose off the piano, and apparently refuses to communicate with anyone for several months. Pushpa's mother asks her brother, Mangal, to check up on him, and the latter finds him living with a prostitute named Titlibai. Refusing to believe her uncle, Pushpa herself travels there and does see the duo together. Convinced that she has lost him for good, she then gets married to Ambala-based Captain Prem Nath - leaving an embittered but now successful music composer, Rajkumar, who claims that he was never involved in any relationship, to take to alcohol, alienate himself from everyone, and heads towards self-destruction.—rAjOo ([email protected])
From Simla, India; Rajkumar Mehta alias Raju takes an enrollment into a music institute located in London, England. After his graduate in music; two years later Raju returns home in Delhi to re-join his family consisting of his mother, father and a sister, Shobha. Raju's dad would like him to be a part of the family's business but he expresses his dissatisfaction and instead shows an interest towards his music and spending considerable times with his childhood, Jalandhar-based, girlfriend, Pushpa, which brings him into loggerheads with his father on numerous occasions. Situations comes to a boil when Raju's dad discard of his piano forcing him to leave home for Mumbai. Upon his arrival in Mumbai; Raju is robbed of his valuables and as a total stranger he is forced to take up lodging on the footpath until a ray of hope comes along when he finds a singing partner in a prostitute called Titlibai. Now a music director; word reaches Pushpa that Raju is involved with Titlibai. Pushpa; on one occasion even manages to see the two together and convinced of their involvement; Pushpa gets marry to Ambala based, Captain Prem Nath. This then not only surprises but shocked Raju which leads him to take to alcohol in a big way thus leading him to a path of suicide.—gavin ([email protected])
