A brutal businessman, Vilhelm Gerner, triggers a stock speculation by providing false information. Two of his partners, Smith and Grå, get ruined and therefore Smith commit suicide. Later, Gerner is found shot by his own gun. The police suspects at least seven persons. Most of them admits murdering Gerner.
