The Italian anarchist Errico Malatesta lives in exile in London 1910. Because of revolutionary activities in Ancona ,he was initially relegated to the island of Lampedusa. Errico belongs to the Italian noble family of the Malatesta . The social conditions under which poor people in London had to live at the beginning of the 20th century show Malatesta the need for his social revolutionary activities. He also builds up a cell of anarchists in London. They discuss the possibilities of putting their theories into practice and plan some actions that Malatesta, however, repel due to their violence. Rebellion is against him. He sees himself as a revolutionary who does not want to use violence to implement his ideas.—Ulf Kjell Gür
