Matriarch runs a family restaurant business with her four daughters: the two oldest are twins, one, who committed suicide when destroyed by her lover, and the other, who avenges her sister by driving that man to suicide, only to learn that he is her lover's father; another, who has an affair with a married man and becomes pregnant; and the youngest, who gets arrested for smoking marijuana, but winds up engaged to the son of a rich banker.
