Mathura Naresh Kalnemi is unable to get his daughter, Vrunda, married as she was cursed by a yogi. However, Danav-raj, Jahlandar, who was blessed with immortality by Bhagwan Shri Brahmdev, comes forward to marry her. Both live in bliss for sometime, but when Jahlandar's guru reminds him to avenge his grandfather against the Devas, he takes up arms, and with Vrunda's blessings, he first defeats Indradev, and abducts Indrayani. Not satisfied, he then goes into war with Bhagwan Shri Vishnu, forcing the later to retreat. Then he lusts after Devi Maa Parvati, and even forces an enraged Shivji to retreat. Not knowing that Vrunda is responsible for his success, he lets her blind herself and has her imprisoned. She nevertheless continues to pray for him - only to face shame, ridicule and be blamed for being unfaithful.—rAjOo ([email protected])
