Chronicling the life as well many challenges faced by Sanskrit poet Kalidas.

Born in an upper-caste Brahman family, Kali, now lives with his abusive and widowed stepmother and her son. She finds fault with Kali on many occasions, but her ire knows no limits when she discovers that he is in love with Pushpavali, a low-caste woman. She subsequently asks Kali to leave, and he does so after he and Pushpavali are unable to find shelter anywhere in the village. They travel to a kingdom ruled by a Raja and his arrogant daughter, who hires Pushpavali to sing for her in the palace. Subsequently, Kali, too, will be summoned to the palace - for a reason that will change his life forever.—rAjOo ([email protected])
