In the aftermath of a tragedy a woman, Magda, reacts with a surge of newfound life that engulfs her circle of family and friends.

Within a year, a 40-year-old woman experiences severe blows of fate: She gets cancer and loses a breast, her husband turns his back on her, her job is cut. When she meets a similarly afflicted football scout, she finds new hope, but then metastases are discovered again and she also becomes pregnant.
