Synopsis

A 'making of' / 'behind the scenes' type documentary series about El tiempo entre costuras, the lush Spanish dramatic thriller television series about a working class seamstress who becomes a fashion designer and a spy. An episode of the documentary followed each episode's broadcast. Contains historical information about the events of times (the run up to the Spanish Civil War, the war itself and its aftermath and then World War II) and the settings (Madrid, Spain; Tetuan, Morocco; Lisbon, Portugal) those of the characters that are based on real life individuals (such as Rosalinda Powell Fox and Colonel Juan Luis Beigbeder), as well as interviews with the author of the best-selling novel* the series is based on (Maria Duenas), the main actors, the directors, the producers, the costume designer, the set decorator, the production designer, make-up artists, hairdressers, etc.

*Also called El tiempo entre costuras. The English translation of the novel is titled The Time in Between.
