Based on footage of real animals accompanied by a voice narrative, following a pair of beavers through the seasons as they have babies, gather food, maintain their dam, play, swim and defend their territory against predators and intruders.

Young beaver White Forelock grows up with mother and sister after their father was devoured by wolves. After a bear's weight causes a large gap in the dam, he's dragged away by the torrent. He meets and befriends a grumpy old beaver, the save each-other's lives from attacking wolves. Later they wander back to mother's lake just when White Tuft's mother and sister are fighting off an attack by an otter.—KGF Vissers
