In a Georgia swamp, a young hunter stumbles upon a wanted fugitive and his daughter, and helps them return to civilization.

A young girl and her father, who was unjustly accused of murder, seek refuge in a Georgia swamp until they are befriended by a trapper who penetrates the swamp in search of his dog.

The year is 1910 and a hunter, Ben Tyler, searching for his dog, strays deep into the treacherous Okefenokee swamp in Georgia. He comes across Jim Harper, who, several years ago was unjustly accused of a murder, is living and hiding in the swamp with his beautiful daughter, Laurie.
