In an unknown capitalist country, workers stage a revolt but are heavily repressed by the boss and fascists. One of them, Tomas Lann, manages to escape to USSR where he meets engineer Podobed who invented the "death ray", a powerful laser beam. However capitalist spies manage to steal the device and use it to repress strikes in their country. Eventually, Tomas manages to recuperate the device to fight back.
