Holed up in their shabby little apartment in grey and faceless early-1980s Athens, the inseparable sisters, Irini and Stella, share a profound interdependent relationship. Pushing forty, and still reluctant to love and be loved, the morose and reclusive sisters will find themselves stranded in the uncharted territories of human connection, as the sudden arrival of Stefanos, their intellectual cousin and secret crush, disrupts the delicate balance in their lonely lives. Now, disoriented and unable to deal with years of accumulated repressed emotions, Stella and Irini are up against sexual obsession, self-destructive psychosis, and bitter jealousy.
