Itsi Atkins in association with Ukrainian screenwriter Tetiana Alexandrova reveals a personal and Introspective view of what has become the most rewarding industry for young women in Ukraine - Marriage. These are the same women Paul McCartney praised in the song 'Back in the USSR', for whom he wanted to "leave the west behind" only four decades ago. These same women are now burdened with being dubbed desperate, disreputable gold diggers. The film 'Love For Sale' intends to place into perspective the trials and tribulations encountered by a typical Ukrainian woman, at the same time offering a more accurate outlook and perhaps moving the viewer to understand and empathize with the young ladies that make a living as mail order brides.—Tetiana Alexandrova
