Freido is an 18 year old living in a rough neighborhood with his mother and abusive stepfather. He is fed up with his living arrangement and has ambitions to leave the town and become a successful rap artist. Chantelle lives on the same street as Freido. Her abusive ex boyfriend Niko has just been released from prison and is back on the block. Niko is a gun toting thug with a possessive personality who won't leave Chantelle alone. When Freido and Chantelle realize they have feelings for one another, their relationship changes.
