Hosted by James Earl Jones, this anthology series features fairy tales and short stories. Throughout the series, many guest narrators take turns telling a traditional fairy tale in their own words.

A PBS Television series, variously using stop motion animation, traditional animation, and live-action to adapt various fairy tales and stories from traditional folklore. Among the most prominent fairy tales depicted are "The Pied Piper of Hamelin", "Beauty and the Beast", "Noah's Ark", and Merlin's encounter with the two rival dragons.
