Living with Diabetes program provides DVDs, handbooks, coupon booklets and web-based information to patients in Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) classes. The materials reinforce information taught in the classes, and allow patients to share the class information with family members who may not have attended the class. Based on the AADE 7 framework, the Living with Diabetes DVD is also used by diabetes educators as an in-class teaching aide and to provide educational information in the lobby areas of medical facilities.—A.
