A nerdy junior high student who works in a floral shop cares for a prehistoric talking Venus Fly Trap which has supernatural abilities.

Seymour is a nerdy junior high student who is frequently tries to get the attention of his crush, Audrey, the daughter of the owner of a flower shop where he works after school. Despite his attempts, Seymour is thwarted by the bully Paine Driller. Seymour finds a fossilized Venus Fly Trap, naming it Audrey Jr. The plant, who has the ability to talk and hypnotize people, attempts to rally plants to rise up against the human race when he learns that they eat vegetables.
