Lifestories: Families in Crisis is an HBO series that deals with major issues involving individuals. Issues include a child molesting priest (played by Craig Wasson) terrorizing a bunch of families, a bulimic (played by Calista Flockhart) trying to deal with her problems, a football player addicted to steroids (played by Ben Affleck), substance abuse by a teenager, homosexuality and bi-sexuality involving teenagers, a teenage girl who has an illegal abortion and becomes critically ill, a girl who contracts AIDS and has to live with the disease, and homelessness in Philadelphia and the major impact it has on a teenager. This series appeared on HBO 1992 to 1996 and featured many rising stars and established stars of movies and television such as Ernie Hudson, and Claire Danes.—RB
