Bridging the uncanny valley

It is the year 2183 in Anchorage, Alaska. A blogger/journalist named Tense finds an android on the street and brings her home to her hacker roommates. This android is different from all the others, it might be running illegal artificial intelligence technology. But in a future where legal doesn't always mean right and illegal can sometimes be fun, they decide to keep her hidden and figure her out.
