A celebration of life, a glance into death, and a celebration of what happens in between.

In Life Begins Now, we join Ria Wade and Cohen Ornam on a spiritual journey at a point where life begins; at the entrance to a party, in the natural depths of the scents and sounds of a city park, by the water side as uncomfortable yet emancipating truths are exchanged... When we first meet Cohen Ornam, he is about to enter a party and is filled with the anticipation of what the future is about to bring. He enters the party and his senses are overwhelmed with celebration: sights of his friends, the aroma of whiskey and the whiff of smoke. Yet, all is not as it seems. Ria and Cohen share a love with no past, and no future. Just Now.

Life Begins Now is a non-linear feature film which investigates the following themes: Life: A million breaths, regrets, hopes and dreams Death: we are the first generation in a million years who get advance notice of our death due to disease; how do we react in this moment? Health and our interaction with our medical professionals; are they there to care for us, or are we simply a complex number? Forgiveness: do we ever experience true forgiveness? Is it possible, even in circumstances where time is restricted? Change: what happens when we are inspired to change our clothes, our money, or life itself. Time: regrets of the Past, fear of the Future; in between, in a serene park, is Now. Now: That moment when time stops, and life begins, as clouds roll by across a blue sky.—Fergus Keane
