A cranky composer is forced to grieve the loss of his husband in the company of his nurse and her 10-year-old daughter as they attempt to re-find the joy of life.

After attempting to take his own life, a depressed musical composer, whose husband has just died, is forced to live with his also depressed nurse and her snarky 10-year-old daughter. He soon forms an unlikely bond with the young girl and the gardener who saved his life.
