College student Kanzaki Nao, known for her honesty, receives 100 million yen and an invitation to join the "Liar Game", where players deceive each other for the prize money: losers end up in debt. Her first opponent is her former teacher Fujisawa Kazuo, who tricks her out of her money. With no help from the police, she turns to recently released swindler Akiyama Shinichi for assistance.
