During the holidays, young siblings utilize a magical pen that grants wishes to bring their estranged parents back together.

Rebecca and Enrique have separated and are undergoing couples therapy. Meanwhile, their children take turns staying with one and the other. When the children visit Santa Claus in a bookstore, they receive a golden pen with which they are supposed to write down their wishes. One evening, they do just that, and their wishes start coming true (with some secret assistance from Grandma). It all ends with the children wishing for everything to be well between their parents.
