Summaries

Three generations of a family struggle to be open with each other during a week of summer vacation at their country cottage.

70-year old Simone leaves her retirement home in the city and travels across the country to visit her 36-year old daughter Michèle at her summer cottage for an annual one-week visit. Michèle is a potter who lives with her husband Pierre and two children. There is no absence of love in this family but communication problems there are a plenty. Simone and Michèle have always had a strained relationship and neither can bring themselves to say what's on her mind. Everyone strives for a more open exchange of feelings - black and white inserts reveal what each character really thinks.—pr1mal_1
