"Les enfants de l'amour" shows us a weekend in the life of a family torn by disputes and dissapointments. The three children Michael, Winnie and Aurelie are the central characters. After two failed marriages, their mother Nathalie is on her own. The mother and the children are forced to adapt to the new situation; the fathers equally try to come to terms with what happened. The story starts Friday morning, the children are getting ready to visit their respective fathers for the weekend. In a documentary style, the film draws the portrait of these six complex characters who are dealing with questions of blame, loyalty and affection.—Hannelore Goossens
