She (a tween-aged, but soon to be teen-aged girl from an Upper Middle Class family) along with her two best friends hilariously take on daily challenges and shenanigans in all aspects of their lives. Moesha and Fresh Prince(Will) meet Blossom and iCarly. What makes Legitimately Mallie unique is that it depicts a highly intelligent African- American lead character and a diverse cast of equally intelligent, clever and funny friends. These characters reflect the cultural mosaic which comprises a large swath of America's suburbs today as well as having a appeal for international reach. Together, these clever kids, use humor and wittiness to tackle their problems. This cast will capture the hearts of multiple socioeconomic classes and demographics. The target audience will view the show as much watch television. Like many pre-teens/teens, Mallie and her friends deal with numerous emotional and social challenges. Their naivety often lands them in situations that require them to stumble their way through until they comically figure out practical and honorable solutions to their problems. Mallie's supportive parents and her no- nonsense grandmother often play a major role in nudging her toward the right decisions.
