This story takes place in a small Newfoundland fishing community in 1901. The legends that adorn the out port Newfoundland lifestyle is prominent in this work. A love triangle between out port people and a fairy of popular legend ensues.
A young girl moves to a small out port community to live in her sister's home. While there she meets a young man that she can see herself falling in love with however, a chance encounter with a Newfoundland forest fairy has her questioning where her heart truly lies. The forest fairy is faced with a decision to pursue his desire to be with a human girl which would mean giving up all that he once was. Through the fairy's luring music a common ground bridges both worlds.—Brett Vey
