Marshal "Rocky" Lane (Allan Lane)rides into the town of Leadville, Oklahoma, in the 1870s, to pick up and outlaw and take him to the county seat for trial. His mission gets sidetracked when he drops in to see his old friend, Nugget Clark ('Eddy Waller' )qv)), and discovers there are oil possibilities on his property. Arriving in Leadville, Marshal Rocky Lane finds that his friend Nugget is in financial trouble. Nugget thinks there is oil on his land but the geologist says no. Rocky knows the geologist is a fake and trailing him finds the hideout and later gets into the gang posing as an outlaw. They are after Nugget's oil rich land.
