Summaries

Léandre Brassac is a misanthrope and alcoholic, who lives on a large remote county estate with his wife, Marie. Brassac has a reputation as a violent and unpredictable man, but who has a love for animals, particularly dogs.

Léandre Brassac, vet, misanthropist and alcoholic, hires Simone, a prostitute. His wife Marie, who is unable to have children, accepts his behavior. Simone likes the farm, gets on well with Marie and tries to bring the couple back together. Léandre defends her from her pimp Marcel and when she falls in love with Roger, a neighboring farmer, he becomes somewhat resentful. Roger decides to marry Simone and at the announcement of her pregnancy, Léandre, overcome with joy at the idea of becoming a "grandfather", blesses their union.—Happy_Evil_Dude
