Nelson, a 10-year-old from Réunion, dreams of being a singer and taking part in Star Kids. His friend, Mia, manages to convince Pierre Leroy, a Parisian singer, to be his coach. But they do not get along.

In a village somewhere on Reunion Island, 10-year-old Nelson dreams of becoming a great singer and has signed up for the TV talent show "Star Kids". His friend Mia, accompanied by her little brother Zizou, decides to help Nelson find a coach to help him prepare for the competition. She chooses Pierre Leroy, a singer from Paris who is staying at the seaside hotel where Nelson's mother works. But lonely, disillusioned Pierre, and proud, obstinate Nelson have trouble getting along. Will the only thing they have in common, a love of singing, be enough to bring them closer and heal their wounds?
