An adventure involving lovers, juvenile delinquents, pyromaniac rednecks, French-Canadian mafioso, zombies, and Werner juices, Le Divan Vert is an eclectic story tied together by the comings and goings of a weathered green couch. The intertwining stories follow the demise of the couch, and culminate when main characters Hank and Reed, aided by an arsenal of dynamite and other incendiaries, take the couch on its final journey. The movie is a collection of vignettes: a romance, a horror piece, a French New Wave piece, a mockumentary, and a slapstick comedy. Each vignette represents a different style and accompanying look attributable to the inclusion of creative input from different directors and writers.—North End Films
