A youngster from the Marseille ghetto chooses to become a member of a local mob to avenge his best friends' death.

This story is about Akim, a young habitant of one of Marseille's famed quarters, who has a difficult time getting out of his social condition and unflinching control of his mother. He finally decides to do a scam with his friends, but a disastrous event will drastically change his life. To get out of this affair, he turns to an experienced crook, a former friend of his now deceased brother. And there, as a river cascading down a hill, he falls into a hellish spiral.—Bania Medjbar
