Layali is a student at the College of Pharmacy. Her father implicates her in false testimony in a corruption case. Layali refuses, flees to Cairo, gets engaged to a Lebanese producer, and marries him because he promised her that he would help her find her artistic path. She discovers that he is taking advantage of her and that his marriage to her was for the sake of giving birth to a son for them and not for her artistic project.
