When a desperate lady becomes the queen of night in search of good fortune, she embodies her skills and tactics to defraud notable rich men.
Jadesola Smith is so many things; beautiful, a goal getter and most definitely not your typical woman. She has successfully started over 17 businesses and runs one of the best conglomerates in Nigeria. She wasn't always this successful. She grew up very poor, went through a lot, suffered a great deal then swore to be successful through any means possible. She started as a petty thief but has grown into duping dubious business men and politicians and using the proceeds to run her businesses and a charity targeted towards sending less privileged children to school. Because of her background and struggle for survival, Jadesola grew to be very rude, dogged, and the most insensitive boss anyone can ever work for and the person that gets to see this all the time is her personal Assistant, Toyosi. Jadesola simply believes that emotions is for the weak and in her quest to build an empire, all emotions needs to be buried. Despite all this you still get to see subtle flicker of emotions here and there that goes to show that she still has a heart.
Toyosi is the opposite of her boss, meek, humble but very smart. She hates her job with Jadesola but still retains that position because she has a sick mother constantly in the hospital and needs the money from this job to cater to her needs.Jadesola's quest to expand her empire led her to seek out chief Olalabi, a notorious politician and thief. With the help of Toyosi who wasn't in support at first but needs an extra cash for her mother's operation, they dwindled Chief off 6 billion naira by getting him to sign a fake contract. After this deal, Jadesola refuses to give Toyosi any incentive as promised this leads to an argument and in the process Jadesola fires Toyosi, leaving her stranded and unable to attend to her mother's medical needs.Meanwhile, Chief Olalabi is very furious at how he was scammed and proceeds to find a way to get Jadesola arrested. He seeks the aid of his touts, policemen and even the EFCC to find a way to bring Jadesola to book. Jadesola gets a sniff of Chiefs plan and flees. Having no friends, she runs to Toyosi for help, Toyosi outrightly refuses leading Jadesola to flee to her village. Chief keeps searching for Jadesola till he decides to find Toyosi instead, believing she'll be of great help. He invites Toyosi to his office and promised her 15 million naira if she helps him find Jadesola. Toyosi knows exactly where Jadesola is but not being a snitch, she doesn't accept this offer but on a second thought, thinking about how the money would go a long way in helping her with her mother's health, she accepts and leads chief straight to Jadesola' s village where Jadesola is finally arrested.
After Jadesola s arrest, investigations commence, Jadesolas asset are seized while the force tries retrieving the stolen money. The shocking thing is that, no money was found, the account could not be traced and there was no evidence that showed that Jadesola was involved in any form of business transaction with Chief. Jadesola stood her ground on being innocent and because there was no substantial evidence against her she was released.Toyosi on the other hand tried getting the money promised to her by chief but was thrown out of his office. Chief is still furious about not being able to retrieve his money back and Toyosi was left a second time stranded and disappointed or so we think. The twist is this, when Jadesola went to Toyosi for help, Toyosi agreed and hatched a plan to help Jadesola move that money to an off shore account and wipe every trace of transaction with Chief and Jadesola under one condition, that Jadesola would give Toyosi a 15% share of her company. Jadesola having no choice at the time agreed to save herself.Toyosi is happy, Jadesola is free and the both of them work happily ever after together.
