LARGER THAN LIFE tells the story of Texas artist Buck Winn (1905-1979). This is the first collection of his artwork, bas-relief sculpture, inventions, and architectural works ever assembled. Buck specialized in doing large murals and artwork for building decorations, all of his projects were considered 'larger than life.' Many of his period pieces from the 1930's thru 1960's have been destroyed as buildings were bulldozed. He created the largest mural in the world, 285-feet, installed in a complete circle, on The History of Ranching. The Historical Commission visited and photographed 18 locations, all of his known work around the Southwest.—Anonymous
