'When I came here and saw the tigers for the first time, in this incredibly historic setting, it just mesmerized me and I suppose at some level, I fell in love,' said Valmik Thapar. The Indian subcontinent, encompassing Pakistan, Sikkim, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, is home to a dazzling array of plants and animals.
