Injured by a lorry, Brian Drake abandons city life. He's joined by outcasts, forming a motley crew, reminiscent of "The Outlaw Josie Wales." A detective, hired by Drake's wife, ultimately joins their offbeat clan.

Brian Drake is hit by a lorry on the way to work and can no longer work. As a result he sets off to become a hermit only to be joined by various other outcasts (a bit like "The Outlaw Josie Wales") and is followed by a private detective working for his wife.
