Synopsis

The film recreates cinematically a real event which took place in 1980, a command from the M-19 guerrilla movement led by Rosemberg Pabón alias "Commander one" takes hostage several ambassadors during an official reception at the Embassy of the Dominican Republic. The kidnappers demanded payment of $ 5 million and the release of 300 political prisoners in prisons and military bases.

During the film in parallel to the scenes of action and suspense romance between the same guerrillas, several jokes, and above all a Stockholm syndrome of the guerrillas for the hostages and vice versa is developed and where after two months of difficult negotiations with high officials of the Government of then President Julio Cesar Turbay Ayala, making ends in a happy ending when guerrillas freed the hostages in Cuba.
