A drug trafficking organization led by Pablo Ruiz gets hold of several plots of land in Michoacan, leaving in its wake terror and destruction. The local people begin to lose faith that someday they could live in peace once again. Amid the massive chaos and violence, brothers Genaro and Sergio embark on a mission to protect their legacy at all costs, creating a resistance group that would rather die fighting than live as slaves and is ready to kill to preserve the peace. A series of clashes between the two groups ensue, both fighting to preserve their interests in Michoacan. Finally, uniting to fight for freedom, the people and the resistance unleash a revolution.—YC
