La Relève is the new culinary competition where 20 young culinary prodigies between the ages of 10 and 14 compete. They are divided into two groups, led by Quebec chefs Hakim Chajar and Chuck Hughes. Each week, the young people must cook different dishes imposed by the two chefs; recipes that put them to the test. At the end of the show, Chuck and Hakim judge their troupe's menus in order to eliminate a candidate. At the end of the season, during the grand finale, two young cooks (one per chef) compete to win the title of The next generation of future cooking stars.
