Summaries

The documentary 'La personne de Georges Adeagbo' by Matteo Frittelli tells, through the interviews to the curators, the artist's work between 2007-2012: the solo show in Venice and in Florence, the Venice Biennial of 2009 and the show at the MUSAC of Leon in Spain. The documentary has been realized with the input by Stephan Koehler, Adeagbo's co-worker and friend. Georges Adeagbo is born in 1942 in Cotonou (Benin), where lives and works. Adeagbo is a 'collector' who systematically picks up and organizes photos, books, pieces of papers, cloths, found objects in groups related to the context in which he works. He creates big site-specific installations with an heterogeneous multiplicity of signs, images and concepts.—Anonymous
