Making a film in her native town, a director finds inspiration in a woman, Estelle David, seen wandering through a hotel.

The plot takes place in a Montreal hotel and revolves around a film within a film. Andrea (Baillargeon) is a filmmaker who fights against blank page syndrome by trying to create the fictional story of a singer whose career is in decline. At the hotel, Andrea meets Estelle (Marleau), a photographer who is retiring from a broken love affair. The mysterious and troubled Estelle inspires the development of Andrea's fictional character, and Andrea becomes increasingly obsessed with her new muse. Meanwhile, Estelle finds her own identity displaced in the film. Andrea and Estelle's worlds intersect, sending reverberations through both their lives.—Cinemapublic
