¿Qué harías si desaparecieran a tu padre?

Adrián Mendoza (52) has become a widow due to the effects of the Internal Civil War in mid 80's Perú . With his children Juan de Dios (12) and Maria del Carmen (10), he confronts the fatal situation that prevails in the convulsed city of Ayacucho. Adrián is returning to his home with Juan de Dios with only a few minutes to spare before the 6 p.m. curfew takes effect, then suddenly the music on his car radio is interrupted by subversive messages. In this situation a police patrol stops Adrian for a routine search, Adrián attempts in vain to change the station on the radio and the police take him into custody as a presumed terrorist on the basis of the messages coming from the radio. His position as a university professor complicates things. On one hand he is branded as a terrorist and a fugitive from the law; on the other hand, the terrorists coerce him to unite with them. In the days that follow more than a dozen soldiers raid his home and later he is taken to the dreaded Pink House where he will be cruelly tortured.—Ragueneau
