L'Assassina - The Murderess (Italian/German, English Subtitles) The tranquillity of a small village is broken by the arrival of Gambrini, a writer looking for an isolated house, and a mysterious woman carrying a bag full of money.

The craving for women, money and power unites Pasquale, the policeman of a seemingly peaceful village, and Roberto, the border guard. One day, they spy together on the arrival of a person who smuggles money. But Pasquale then waits in vain in Maria's bar for Roberto's return, who should have seized the money to share it with him. Instead, it is the writer Gambrini who arrives. A man tired of city life and looking for a house in an isolated corner of the world to be able to work in peace. The pretty Maria, who would like to go and live in the city, looks at Gambrini with interest and helps him find a home. The second night after his arrival, the writer is disturbed by an unknown woman who claims to have killed a man and who, chased away, forgets a bag full of foreign banknotes. Later, the misanthrope Gambrini falls in love with the mystery woman who has returned and wants to stay with him. But he also finds the border guard's corpse and tries to hide it.
